These terms apply to every store that installs FirstFrame Speed Check. Installing the app means the store agrees to them. Last updated 4 November 2026.
The app tests the store's home page, one product page and one collection page on a simulated phone with Google PageSpeed Insights once a day (plus up to 3 extra tests a day on request), shows the results in Shopify admin, and emails alerts and a weekly summary when the store has them switched on. It only reads and reports. It never changes the store's theme, apps, products or settings.
Scores and timings are Google's lab measurements on a simulated phone. They vary from test to test, which is why each page is tested twice and the middle result is shown. They are a guide, not a guarantee of how fast the store is for every visitor, and the suggestions are Google's general advice. Changes made to the store based on them are the store's own decision.
The app holds no customer personal data. The only data it keeps is about the store itself: the addresses of the pages it tests, their test results, the store's name, web address and time zone, and the email address alerts go to.
The app mentions that FirstFrame, a website-speed service run by people, can make a store faster. That service is separate from the app, optional, and agreed directly with FirstFrame. The app works fully without it.
Use the app only for stores you run, within Shopify's terms.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees the store paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
